The role holder will be required to research, design, market, and implement quality and customer driven leadership and management training programs in the financial sector
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Develop strategic training and development programs in leadership and management for the Institute.
2. Engage strategic partners to develop and offer specialized capacity building in areas of mutual interest.
3. Define, elevate, and operationalize the Institute’s intellectual voice in the leadership and management sector, positioning it as a credible Centre of excellence and knowledge hub.
Technical and Operational Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver training programs in leadership and management for the effective implementation of CBK guidelines and regulations to foster prudent management of financial institutions.
2. Develop market-driven executive leadership and management programs for Senior Management and Board Members of Financial Institutions.
3. Identify and recruit specialized experts to facilitate high level training, workshops, seminars, webinars and conferences targeting the banking and financial sector.
4. Collaborate and support the development of quality digital learning content and resources for delivery within the Institute’s LMS.
5. Develop and prepare annual training calendar and session plans.
6. Monitor customer service through continuous program evaluations and customer satisfaction surveys for program improvement.
7. Develop and implement marketing plans in support of the Institute’s training objectives and financial targets.
8. Respond to training enquiries by sector players, stakeholders, partners and service providers.
9. Preparation of performance reports in line with approved objectives and work plans.
Other Responsibilities
1. Mentor and coach other staff.
2. Draft talking notes for various levels of speakers and resource persons.
3. Develop and monitor training and workshop budgets.
4. Design and develop promotional materials including brochures, folders and memorabilia.
5. Provide assessment-based training according to client needs and the industry.
6. Monitor the development of training materials and promotional materials.
7. Monitor the delivery and evaluation of programs to ensure quality while meeting training objectives and participants’ expectations.
8. Monitor the implementation of training programs to ensure quality and effective customer service.
9. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Division/ Management.
1. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Banking & Finance or a related discipline.
3. Certification in Banking, Project Management, Policy Development, Risk Management or Strategic Management.
4. PhD in Business or related field is an added advantage.
5. Membership to a relevant professional association or body is an added advantage.
Minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant working experience.
Technical Competencies
1. Designing leadership and management curricula aligned with organizational strategy.
2. Strategic content development for targeted programs.
3. Stakeholder engagement and strategic collaborations.
4. Applying adult-learning principles and competency-based training models.
5. Developing learning objectives, modules, case studies, and facilitator guides.
6. Selecting appropriate learning modalities (in-person, virtual, blended).
7. Mastery of facilitation methods: experiential learning, coaching, simulations, role-plays.
8. Ability to conduct workshops, webinars, and executive training sessions.
9. Managing participant engagement and group dynamics.
10. Use of digital learning tools such LMS, virtual classroom tools, collaborative whiteboards.
11. Using diagnostic tools: 360-degree assessments and motional Intelligence scales, etc.
12. Designing pre-training assessments and impact evaluations.
13. Planning and budgeting for leadership development initiatives.
14. Work-plan creation, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
15. Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks for capacity-building programs.
16. Managing trainers, consultants, and external partners.
17. Conducting research on leadership trends, best practices, and academic models.
