The role holder will undertake Domestic Debt Management Intelligence whose functional operations include analysis and reporting on debt and capital markets to enhance information for decision making.
Strategic Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the Divisional policy/strategy - Promote growth, stability, and access to financial markets.
2. Work effectively as part of the team to deliver on the Key Result Areas and demonstrate competencies of his/her role.
Technical and Operational Responsibilities
1. Conduct analysis of data and produce routine and ad hoc technical reports, policy briefs, speeches, and presentations for CBK Management and other users.
2. Undertake analysis of developments in the domestic, regional, and international financial markets to inform policy decisions.
3. Perform daily analysis and recommendations on media reports/articles on capital market performance.
4. Capture market data in the Bank-wide Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
5. Maintenance and management of a comprehensive Debt Market Database.
6. Analysis of data and production of technical reports to inform management decisions; policy briefs, speeches, and presentations for CBK Management and other users.
7. Prepare proposals and recommendations on Debt Management Intelligence.
8. Management of a comprehensive and credible database which includes collection and collation of data on performance of all financial market segments from different.
9. Conduct debt market surveillance by monitoring pricing and report on any price manipulation.
10. Continuously review the best pricing debt models in the CSD.
11. Provide data and information to users on timely basis.
12. Provide advice on debt and capital market issues and developments.
13. Contribute to the work of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) including providing analytical reports and presentations at the MPC meetings.
14. Participate in CBK Communication Committee activities and provide communication liaison with Communications office on behalf of the Division.
15. Update of data and information on CBK website financial market pages, ensuring that these reflect accurate, complete, reliable, and timely information.
16. Draft responses to public and media enquiries on financial market issues.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, banking, public relations, communication, marketing, information science, or a similar field.
2. Clear understanding of financial markets, banking, and relevant emerging issues in:
• National, regional, and international regulatory and statutory requirements

• Domestic debt market
• Risk management
• Domestic debt market
• Risk management
At least three (3) years’ work experience in a relevant field.
